Community Leadership: Your Guide to Getting Involved

A virtual speed networking event with speakers from elected office, campaign teams & non-profit organizations.

About this event

There are many ways to get involved, and you can use your skills and interests to contribute to shaping your community!

Ask Her YYC and Equal Voice Calgary are teaming up to host a virtual speed networking event for women interested in getting more involved in community leadership.

You'll have the opportunity to network with women with experience in elected office, on campaign teams, with community associations, and on non-profit boards.

We'll be joined by:

  • Tanya Thorn, Mayor of Okotoks

  • Harnoor Kochar, Director of Field Operations for Edmonton Mayor Amarjeet Sohi's campaign

  • Chantel Cabaj, President & Founder of DirectHer

  • Leslie Evans, Executive Director of the Federation of Calgary Communities

This event is part of Ask Her's She Belongs event series which is designed to help you use your skills, strengths, and perspectives to make a difference in your community.

Find your voice. Find your role. Find your community. #SheBelongs
