Ask Her’s vision is simple: our city’s leadership should look like us.

Founded in 2016 to encourage more women to run for Calgary City Council in the 2017 election, Ask Her is working to advance the principles of inclusive and equitable representation in municipal government through opportunities for the development and training of candidates, volunteers, supporters, funders, and mentors.

OUR MISSION

We believe that municipal government is strong, better, and more effective when it reflects the community it serves. We advance inclusive and equitable representation by preparing women and gender-diverse people of all backgrounds to engage in municipal leadership.
