In 2025, two women were among the front-runners for Mayor of Calgary. 

Join Ask Her for a fireside chat with Jyoti Gondek and Sonya Sharpe to unpack all that unfolded, and the work required to increase women’s representation on Calgary City Council moving forward. 

The discussion will be moderated by Annalise Klingbiel, the co-founder and principal of Champion Communications and PR. Annalise has more than a decade of combined communications and journalism experience in fast-paced, high-pressure environments from the Alberta Legislature, where she worked as press secretary for the Minister of Justice, to Calgary City Hall, where she was a beat reporter for the Calgary Herald and host of a popular civic affairs podcast.
