Come Together: Creating Impact through Community Collaboration

  • Platform Calgary 407 9 Avenue Southeast Calgary, AB, T2G 2K7 Canada (map)

Join us for this collaborative workshop focused on breaking down barriers to politics and municipal leadership!

In this workshop, we're tackling 3 key barriers for women and underrepresented genders in politics and municipal leadership:

  • Safety and Harassment

  • Finance and Fundraising

  • Early Learning and Childcare

Participants will be divided into teams and tasked with developing an innovative solution to one of these critical barriers. The solutions may be policy-focused, grass-roots community initiatives, a mutual aid model, or maybe a social enterprise -- whatever you choose!

Participants will be provided with info on their topic and we'll have facilitators available to support teams in developing their ideas. The teams will gather back together and take turns presenting their ideas to the full group, with time for networking and discussion as well.

This event is part of Ask Her's She Belongs event series which is designed to help you use your skills, strengths, and perspectives to make a difference in your community.
