Shifrah Gadamsetti (she/her)

Shifrah is a registered nurse with a passion for public health and education, political literacy, and civic engagement. With roles in both acute and community-oriented settings, she has used her experience on the front lines of healthcare to shape public policy and community engagement with the goal of creating a more vibrant and inclusive Calgary. 

Shifrah holds a Bachelor of Nursing and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a Minor in Women and Gender Studies. She has been recognized as a fierce advocate for education both locally and internationally, leading teams involving government relations and policy development alongside senior administrators, elected officials, and large stakeholders to advocate on behalf of post-secondary students across the country. More recently, she explores intersections between civic engagement, public health, social policy, and gender equity through her work at the City of Calgary, Calgary Womxn: Taking Strides, and the Mental Health Commission of Canada.
