Zarnab Zafar (she/her)

Director, People

Zarnab Zafar is a Political Science student at the University of Calgary. Zarnab is passionate about understanding the different ways that politics shapes our daily lives, and how we can best achieve optimal outcomes for all people. Throughout her education, Zarnab has been fortunate to experience a wide range of opportunities ranging from an international exchange program, to working with charities like Humanity First and International Development Relief Fund. Zarnab hopes to approach the world with a sense of humility to allow her to immerse herself in giving back to others. 

Zarnab believes in the power of women to make a positive change in politics. She values the work of Ask Her YYC because she firmly believes that it is forming the future for people-based politics and empowers people to take part in the democratic process.
